Totem
Starting in 2018 I started the series TOTEM, a body of work in multiple chapters. TOTEM an exploration of constructs of femininity, adornment, ritual, and personal power in the face of nature. The abstracted, draped, and painted nude bodies play with dichotomies of concealment and expression, empowerment, piety, hedonism, and the often conflicted relationship between religion and the feminine.
